NEW INSTRUMENTS! - December 20, 2007
I have two new instruments! See photos at the photo link.
• I have a new "gig guitar" — It's made by a French Canadian company, Godin. And it's essentially an electric classical guitar. It's their top of the line classical and it's made to go through an amplifier. The power and tone quality are amazing. I play this on all gigs in a noisy environment.
• Even more exciting, I have a new concert instrument! It's a 2007 Jose Marin Plazuelo. This is a luthier in Granada Spain. It has a spruce top with Brazilian rosewood back and sides. The guitar looks and sounds gorgeous and it's easy to play. And, it will only improve as the next years go by! This will be the guitar I play with the Lexington Guitar Trio and any other performances that have the more formal sit-down quiet audiences.
